I’ve been seeing Dr Germino for a year now and from day one he made me feel very comfortable. I have a physically demanding job as an OT that requires me to spend a lot of time working on the floor/mats with children. It was difficult for me to do my job when my back and neck were hurting me basically every day. Since working with Dr Germino and his wonderful staff, my back pain started to get under control with regular adjustments and allows me to continue working at a job I love. First I want to start by saying that the staff are super accommodating and helpful. They welcome you from the time you enter until it’s time for you to leave. They make appointments that work for the patient and I have had to reschedule a couple of times and it was not a problem. Secondly, Dr. Germino is a real professional. He took the time to hear me….sent me for xrays before treatment to offer the the best treatment for me. I felt so much better after a couple of visits. Dr Germino also took the time to explain in layman’s terms what I needed and why. I 100percent recommend Dr Germino and his practice.

I pulled my back out one Saturday morning was so mad because I had my niece’s sweet 16 to attend that night . Couldn’t even stand up straight so I thought I wouldn’t be able to go . Best decision I’ve made medically through my pregnancy! I am currently 7 1/2 months pregnant with twins and around 6 months the lower back pain was indescribable. I was tired of waking up crying every morning and I knew it was time that something had to be done. I googled pregnancy chiropractor and Dr. Germino immediately came up, his ratings were 4.9 and I can honestly say that every thing that I read about him has come true. Besides his fantastic bedside manor, the equipment that he uses adjusts to my growing belly. When I started coming here my pain on a scale of 1-10 was a 10+, now after a month and a half I would say I am at a 6. Obviously carrying twins and growing I will not be able to bring that number down to 1. Another thing I love about his office is the massage therapy. The therapist Julie really helps to relieve my pain and bring comfort to my daily life! I highly recommend this facility, not just for prenatal chiropractic care but for all chiropractor care! I highly recommend picking Dr. Germino as your future chiropractor because you will see results! In my case, anytime I would retract my shoulder, there would be a lot of crack sounds and I was always in pain. Dr. Germino used what is called rapid release therapy on my shoulder and after the first session, there was not a sound coming from my shoulder when I would retract it. I am still a work in progress because I still have pain, but not nearly as much as before. Additionally, the staff at Dr. Germino’s office are always on their A game and treat the patients with respect.

I went to a different chiropractor last year. He didn’t take x-rays, he didn’t look at my body symmetry. All he did was crack my sides, put a heating pad and let me go. I started going to Doctor Germino last week. After one visit he did more work and aligned my back, I felt I was 20 again. He looked at my bod’y symmetry and he knew what was wrong before the X-rays. Best doctor on the island, worth every penny. He really cares. Office is kept clean and sanitized. Highly recommended.
I’ve been looking for a chiropractor that offered more services than just adjustments, and happy I found Dr. Germino. I had spinal surgery and have multiple herniated disks still in constant pain daily. Dr. Germino ordered xrays, assessed the issues I’ve been experiencing with the constant spasms and tightness. After our treatments with adjustments, stimulation, and cold laser therapy I’m now more mobile and my pain is drastically reduced. This is with me only seeing him once a week. Highly recommend him if you’re having any back issues.

Dr. Germino has made huge progress with my back and sciatica pain in such a short period of time. A decade ago I herniated 3 discs and developed some nerve damage. I received treatment at that time but have been able to manage it on my own for the last 8 years. I aggravated it terribly 6 weeks ago and knew I needed professional help. I wanted to use a chiropractor closer to my home this time and read Dr.Germino’s reviews as well as several reviews from other practices. I definitely made the best decision, I was given an appointment the same day I first called. The receptionist emailed me all the paperwork ahead of time so I could fill it out before my appointment. This was a great option for me because I was in so much pain and I didn’t want to spend a lot of time sitting in a waiting room. Safety protocols due to Covid 19 were explained over the phone before my first appointment. The office is very clean, the staff is pleasant, respectful and accommodating. I observed the rooms being cleaned between each patient. Dr. Germino is kind, gentle, and thorough. He took down my full history, gathered information on my pain and physical limitations from it, and examined my back. During my first treatment I actually felt my lower back relax. After my second treatment I could really feel some pain relief and by my third visit I was walking normal again. After 6 weeks and several treatments I can honestly say I am 90% better than the first day I walked into his office. I highly recommend the back brace he offers, I use mine every day at work and it is the best one I have purchased these past 10 years. I am very happy with Dr. Germino’s chiropractic care, his treatments, advice, and recommendations have been a success. I’m hoping to never feel that debilitating back pain again.

The spinal decompression table is a miracle for anyone suffering with sciatic leg pain. Dr. Germino was straight forward with goals and expectations and after a few visits leg pain is gone. The decompression table is well worth it.
Everyone in this office is a dream, Dr. Germino, the staff, the masseuses, the acupuncturist, everyone. From my first visit till today, I have never felt better in my entire life. I never believed in the power of acupuncture but the gentleman there is a genius, 1 session with him where I explained my pain, he diagnosed it as nerve damage, worked his magic, and in minutes the pain was gone and hasn’t been back. He is a gentleman, a great chiropractor, he makes u feel welcome, never uncomfortable, PLUS his office is ALWAYS SPOTLESS AND SMELLS CLEAN!! I have suffered with back pain for years from multiple bulging discs and sciatica. I had been treated with traditional manipulation and stim therapy. It worked for awhile, but then the pain would return with a vengeance from just the simplest movement. My doctors said it was just something “I had to learn to live with.” Then I heard about Non-surgical spinal decompression therapy. A Google search led me to Dr. Salvatore Germino. One phone call and they were able to see me that day. The office staff was super friendly and efficient. Dr. Germino explained everything to me very carefully. We started treatment that day! I have been experiencing back issues for approximately 7 weeks. I had no relief from any doctor until I went to Dr. Germino. When I walked into the door, I immediately felt at home. Dr. Germino took the time to talk to me, assess my back pain, and immediately began to work on me. I felt greatly relieved after the appointment. More important than the relief, however, was the fact that he listened carefully to my concerns. My orthopedic doctor did not; to him I was just another patient who took a number and got in line. Overall, I feel that the doctor/patient relationship is as valuable as the services received. I will continue to travel from New Jersey to Staten Island to see Dr. Germino. The commute is secondary to finding a great doctor.
I was recommended to Dr. Germino by my mother after I’d been suffering from lower back pain for a while. At first I was hesitant to see a chiropractor, but I’m glad that I went to see him. I’ve been in pain for over a year with lower back pain, leg pain and numbness. I went to a pain management doctor and had four steroid injections. I did not get any relief. I went to Dr. Germino and he recommended decompression therapy. After about a month of decompression, I began to feel relief. After another month the pain was almost completely gone. I cannot recommend Dr. Germino highly enough. Because of his treatment I am able to walk with little to no pain. I would suggest you see Dr. Germino for any back pain before you try any other type of therapy.

If you’re like me, and read every review everywhere…. read this one! I saw Dr. Germino within the couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. I was roughly 30 weeks pregnant, I was joking around with everyone I knew and on a mommy to be app that with ONE visit he gave me back the two weeks prior that I had been suffering. I recommended him to my mom, boyfriend, and a friend. On the mommy to be app, I recommended that others do what I did… google chiropractors that specialize in prenatal care (and try gentle yoga moves), because it’ll really change your whole world. Here I am, 36 weeks pregnant tomorrow and on Christmas Eve they were able to get me in to see him.. because let’s be real who isn’t sore prepping for Christmas, never mind when you’re so far along in pregnancy. Not only is he amazing at what he does, but his office staff is probably the nicest and most helpful on the island of any doctors offices I’ve been to. So thank you to Dr. Germino, and his wonderful staff! You continue to help me get through pregnancy, and make me feel like I’m not 101 years old ha.

I had the worst TMJ flare up ever due to a dental procedure. I went to my pcp and she referred me to Dr. Sal… the ladies that work there were awesome and was able to fit me in the same day on short notice , very professional manner and they explained everything (they even have most of the paperwork we all hate as a link to download and fill out before the visit) , Once I met Dr Sal I knew I was in good hands ,after using cold laser therapy and the graston technique I immediate felt a difference…. after my 3rd visit I would say I’m at 90%, he even treated the neck pain as a result of the TMJ flareup.. he also has a onsite massage therapist and she awesome…neck has never felt better…. I have seen many chiropractors over the years and have always dreaded the initial visit. This time what a pleasant experience. Dr. Germino was pleasant and personable. He thoroughly explained everything throughout the visit. He adjusted my neck and back and I left there feeling great. He gave me exercises’ to strengthen my neck and back. I even referred my friend who was waiting for me in the waiting room to book an appointment with Dr. Germino.
The wait was understandable as it was my first visit. There were many necessary forms to filled out, otherwise I left satisfied and a bit relieved of my lower back pain.
